First Block Break

Well, class is gonna start up again tomorrow.  I'm in Organismal Biology.  I have two countdowns going in my mind...two and a half weeks until I see 30 Seconds to Mars and Envy on the Coast again and one month until I get to go home!  I honestly do love the people here though.  I went with my roomy to her house for block break and had fun...but I missed people from home and the girls from my floor. 

Right now, I'm bored....really bored.  And with that I'll say this...

This whole college thing...

1. I love my roommate; Ciara is amazing.  She's ridiculously outgoing and fun.

2. Cultural Anthropology is growin on me...but I do have my midterm on Friday...

3. I made Concert Choir and Chamber Singers.  Shwing-a-ding!

4. Work's not so bad, especially since I'm basically first in line for a student manager postion.  I work at The Ratt, a fast-food restaurant in the commons.  The downside: it closes at midnight.

5. I have two close friends already: Allie and Paul.  We clicked right away and the one thing we have in common... we were all in high school band! (I'm not sayin that's why we're friends, I just think that it's something to think about. hehe)

6. Went to Allie's this past weekend.  Her parents spoiled me with fantastic food and her mom helped with my laundry.

7. So...it seems that not that much has happened here....

8. There are actually a lot of people here from Kansas.  Yay!

9. The other day Ciara was talking about how much she misses her boyfriend, and I realized that I don't have that one person in a special place in my heart....but many people!  I love all of you and miss you so much!

I can't even make it to 10....how disgraceful.  lol.

I love it here!  It definitely is the right place for me....but I do wish that it was a lot closer to all of you.   I miss you. 

I've had some good times so far.  Met some fun people.  Today class started and I auditioned for choir.  I have about 70 pages to read for Cultural Anthropology...yeah.  I need to do that.  But I wanted to let you know that I'm still alive.

And I still love you!

I went to Monday night practice because the band will always be my family...  And as I was sitting there I realized that this time next week I'll be in Iowa.

So.....Yeah

Well, now that I actually know the date that I'm leaving, it's all become real.  ...As opposed to how it was fake?  ugh. 

Anyways, my dad is driving me to Iowa.  We're leaving Monday, August 28th, at 6 AM.  I wanted Brandon to come with, but I understand that he has to stay for school, football, and band...

Question: where did August go? 

I want to try to have some sort of going away shin-dig, but you know how I am with planning things.  hehe. 

I went to the Breaking Benjamin concert on Tuesday with Sam, Shanda, and Michael.  It was phenomenal.  However, I've decided that there will probably never be a concert that beats 30 Seconds To Mars - and I'm okay with that.

I promised my parents that I'd start packing.
